Hade Edge Band returned from the 2026 Yorkshire Area Brass Band Championships in Huddersfield with a 9th place finish in the highly competitive Second Section. Whilst certainly not the result we had hoped for, the result ensures that the band will remain in the Second Section for 2027 — a very important achievement given the strength and depth of bands in the Yorkshire region.
A huge thanks to all of our players and our outgoing Musical Directory, Derek for their hard work, preparation, and commitment in the lead-up to the contest and on the day itself. Preparing for an Area contest requires many weeks of focused rehearsals and every member of the band contributed to the effort both musically and in supporting one another.
