Hade Edge Band’s ambition is to return to the first section as soon as possible – hopefully at next year’s Yorkshire Areas Contest!
Based in our state-of-the-art amazing bandroom in Hade Edge, we have a fantastic core team of players who perform in all our local events in support of our community throughout the year. However, contesting is also an important part of our band’s heritage and we need to ensure that as well as having players for our local events and activities, we also have players who enjoy and relish competitive playing and contests. Our current vacancies are listed below:
Tenor Horns
Our horn section has a vacancy and we would love to hear from any horn players who would like to join Hade Edge Band.
For more information or to apply for these positions, complete our contact form or send an e-mail to enquiries@hadeedgeband.co.uk.
2nd Trombone
We’re keen to attract an ambitious 2nd tenor trombone player to join our established and friendly trombone section. Whilst we have an existing full section of trombone players, the new player would be our first choice 2nd trombone player for the various contests we play throughout the year as well as being part of our many other local community events.
For more information or to apply for this position, complete our contact form or send an e-mail to enquiries@hadeedgeband.co.uk.
Front Row Cornets
We have a great team of front and back row cornets but we need more and we’re now searching for new cornet players who are looking for a new challenge! We also now have a vacancy for a Soprano Cornet player too!
For more information or to apply for these positions, complete our contact form or send an e-mail to enquiries@hadeedgeband.co.uk.
Percussion – Kit, Tuned and Timps!
Some of the members of our percussion team have recently moved on to new challenges and so we have exciting vacancies for kit, timps and tuned percussion players. The band offers the chance for percussion players to have access to a fantastic and wide range of percussion kit and our music repertoire includes everything from modern progressive tunes through to the traditional brass band classics you’d expect.
