Hade Edge Band is a traditional brass band based in the village of Hade Edge just a few minutes up the hill from Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. Although we are a “traditional” brass band in that we play in the second section of the Yorkshire Brass Band Area, we also play many types and genres of music as well as traditional British brass band classics.
We rehearse two times every week.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8pm to 10pm.

Throughout the year, we play in various band contests, local community events, garden parties, various private functions and many concerts in which we often collaborate with other local music groups. A highlight of our year includes playing at the Durham Miners’ Gala for which, we play on behalf of the now closed Sacriston Colliery.

The Christmas period is a very special time for Hade Edge band and throughout the festive period, we play many carol busking jobs and traditional Christmas concerts. Very notable is our annual performance at Holmfirth Picturedrome where we accompany the cinema showing of The Snowman to hundreds of excited Christmas families!
Our very own spin-off Oktoberfest brass band, the Hade Edge Hofbrau Band, performs at several events during the Oktoberfest season, playing a wide variety of music ranging of traditional Oompah tunes through to covers of pop and rock tunes!

We often have vacancies for players and we welcome enquiries from potential players. If you’re a brass or percussion player looking to join a friendly community based and competitive band, then drop us a message using our contact form and we’ll be back in touch soon!
