Hade Edge Band is delighted to announce the appointment of Dean Redfern as its new Musical Director.

Dean joins the band from BMP Goodshaw Band, where he recently guided the band to an impressive fifth-place finish at the North West Regional Championships. Widely respected across the brass band movement for his musicality, commitment and progressive approach to band development, Dean brings with him a wealth of conducting and performing experience.

Experience

Alongside successful spells with Boarshurst and Uppermill Bands, Dean has also performed with the internationally renowned Brighouse and Rastrick Band — one of the most celebrated names in brass banding, recognised globally for its contesting pedigree and concert excellence.

The band is excited to begin this new chapter under Dean’s leadership as work continues to strengthen and rebuild for the future. His extensive experience across both the contest and concert stage is expected to bring fresh energy, musical ambition and continued progress to Hade Edge Band.
